Within the Romanian communities from abroad, the church acts as a factor of human solidarity and community cohesion. For this reason, the DRA will develop an enhanced partnership with church representatives, so that the preservation and assertion of the Romanian religious identity abroad would be truly supported.

The types of actions that fall under this program and that the DRA will assist with priority this year are:

- Constructing, repairing or maintaining Romanian churches in the regions where there is a significant number of Romanian Christian followers;
- Completing the Romanian churches’ heritage through the donation of books, clothes and objects of worship;
- Funding charitable programmes undertaken by churches and associations of the Romanians from abroad;
- Supporting the activities of the religious staff and clergy.
