Education in the Romanian language represents the key factor for preserving the Romanian cultural identity and traditions.

The types of actions that fall under this program and that the DRA will assist with priority this year are:

-         Organising Romanian language, culture and civilization courses in universities and schools in countries with significant Romanian communities;

-          Supporting the establishment of educational institutions, schools or pilot-classes with courses being taught in the Romanian language, in states where the Romanian communities are of considerable;

-         Constructing, repairing and equipping schools and kindergartens for Romanian children in their residence countries;

-         Organising, equipping and maintaining functional Sunday and parochial schools, etc.;

-         Providing scholarships for children and young Romanians in order for them to study in schools and universities in Romania or abroad;

-         Supporting cultural events organised by foreign university departments for the Romanian language, culture and civilization;

-         Supplying the university departments of Romanian language from abroad with the necessary materials required to support cultural activities;

-         Organising Romanian language, culture and civilization competitions ;

-         Organising exhibitions and other cultural events for Romanian children and youth from abroad;

-         Organising camps and summer schools in Romania and abroad;

-         Organising summer schools, research visits and exchanges for professors who teach Romanian language, culture and civilization courses;

-         Providing research scholarships for professors from abroad in order to improve and specialise their teaching methodology for the Romanian language, culture and civilization courses.
