
Capitalising the Romanian cultural heritage, through the preservation of traditions belonging to the Romanian cultural identity, is an important pillar in the DRA’s strategy for 2010.
The types of activities that are included in this program and that DRA will assist with priority this year are:
- Establishing and supporting current activities of the Romanian libraries from outside the borders;
- Organising creativity camps, in Romania and abroad, for Romanian artists from everywhere;
- Organising training courses on excellence in arts, in Romania and abroad, for the Romanian artists;
- Regaining, restoring and preserving museums, memorial houses, historical and artistic monuments, memorial plaques, etc..;
- Organising competitions and awarding and promoting the creations of Romanian artists abroad;
- Organising conferences, seminars, symposiums, cultural events, exhibitions, plays, etc., in order to promote the Romanian language, culture and civilization;
- Organising concerts at home and abroad, with the participation of singers from or originating from Romania;
- Publishing abroad works and materials centred on the personalities of Romanian culture;
- Supporting the development of professional networks comprising Romanian experts and personalities from abroad and specialized institutions from Romania;
- Conducting ethnography, folklore, sociology, dialectology, history, and archaeology studies and research, carrying out analyses regarding the heritage of the Romanian communities abroad and publishing them, etc.
